The Frenchian Christian and the Need to Own a Mirror

My gut: That’s not what we’re trying to say.

David French is a hypocrite. The Christians that follow him in agreement are hypocrites. They’re liars who bear false witness, haters of the brethren, and are white-washed tombs full of dead men’s bones.

On a weekly basis it seems, French handwrings about evangelicals, Conservative Christians who are no longer content to sit on the sideline in the culture wars. And on a weekly basis, he garners thousands of likes and retweets, based solely on his target.

“I’m a Leftist atheist and I’m so glad you’re against those evil conservative Christians!” Huh. I thought that you were representative of people who support you. I wonder if David knows who he’s giving cover to… LOL of course he does. He needs the paycheck.

See, the problem isn’t that David has gone full Balaam for a check. It’s not unheard of, especially someone of David’s caliber. He went from being hated to now loved, all because he turned his attention from trying to save the lives of the unborn to pointing out the hypocrisy of Christians with hands folded in holiness while an angel shines his halo.

The problem is that David is less righteous avenger and more Pharisee with stone in hand, ready to stone the adulterous woman.

He knows this. He understands that if he actually tackled the Leftist Christian ethos, full of evil and heresy, he would be culled from the “acceptable” herd. And having been driven out of the “unacceptable” herd, aka Conservative Christians, he’d be homeless and only have the purest of suckers and rubes to depend on for his income.

David’s Balaam act started with Trump, someone French could not support. But his donkey jumped the shark when he supported Biden by not holding Biden to the same standard as Trump. Biden has a long history of being everything French said he couldn’t accept from Trump. “But he’s decent” was the cover-all.

French 2:13 – being decent covers a lot of sins. I guess…

And now, French has enabled Frenchian Christians to follow in his guided-by-Satan footsteps. A quick look through comments on almost any of his tweets will show you arrogant Christians complaining about how Evangelicals are the problem, how they’ve twisted gospel, and how they’re very much bad people.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, you think abortion is acceptable and have turned the gospel from “go into all the world” to “force government to implement change.” You don’t have the authority to say what evangelicals have done to the gospel because you have no idea what the gospel is.

Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying that there is no room to criticize Conservative Christians. But you don’t have the authority to do it because you’ve got a 10’ x 8’ plywood board in your eye. Maybe pull that out before you start with anyone else.

But they drape themselves in self-righteous holiness and act like they’re more spiritual, using the right words and phrases to make it seem like they are above it all.

LOL no you’re not. I’ve looked at your timeline.

My point is this: If David French and his Frenchians would spend less time lying about conservative Christians and more time looking in the mirror of the Bible, they’d be as holy as they think they are.

And I really need to stop taking French off mute.
